The giant tomatoes in this spot were created with huge aviation signal balloons covered with cheese cloth and elastometric rubber. We tried a few different compounds and this seemed to work best. They had to be slightly deflated so that they would fit through the doors of the school location, but they held up well for all the rolling around they got.
The elevator set was constructed by our crew in the gymnasium of the school location, with the elevator doors operated manually by a simple pulley rope system.
