The End of the Line Club was recreated at the 2010 San Diego Comic Con as part of an experiential marketing campaign promoting the new TRON-Legacy movie. Our crew worked in tandem with the construction team to get the set painted a metallic platinum color in time for the opening. It was definitely a challenge. Sometimes we would leave the set freshly primed at the end of our (long) day, only to find it covered in sawdust the next morning!
Eventually the dust problem was over, and we moved ahead quickly to paint the final finish coats. We painted three coats of a custom mixed Modern Masters metallic acrylic, which worked excellent. It gave us an ever changing metallic look that always appeared like a different shade, depending on the light and where you stood in the room.
